Hello.

I'm a beginner using Ext, and as I tried building charts with a Time axis, I noticed the following behavior.

If one do not specify the "step" parameter, it defaults to [Ext.Date.DAY, 1].

This is embarrasingly slow when working with data sets spanning over multiple years.

I thought Ext charting library was pretty sensible with regards to picking sane defaults, so I think I have missed something here.

My workaround, for now is to manually compute the step parameter according to the data distribution.
