Success! Looks like we've fixed this one. According to our records the fix was applied for EXTJSIV-6236 in 4.1.

    leon_tang,

    A fix is ready and it will be available in 4.1.2. Column charts can now be bound to both the left and bottom axes when they are both numerical.

    I don't know if you have access to the code but if you do, the fix is at https://github.com/extjs/SDK/pull/7032
