    Default Error trying to deploy app to device using Arcitect

    Error trying to deploy app to device using Arcitect

    I think I followed all the directions correctly, but I'm getting the following error when packaging my app for iPad:
    sencha package packager.json[ERROR] The current working directory (/Users/zachlowe/Sites/sencha_sdk/myprojects/Architect/GameDay) is not a recognized Sencha SDK or application folder
    iPhone Distribution: no identity found
    The application was successfully packaged
    Failed to execute system command while signing application with error 256
    Failed to package application
    logout

    couple questions:
    (1) How do you set the "certificatepassword" from Architect - it doesn't provide this option. (I assume it is ok that when I exported the private key to P12 format I left the password field blank - although I worried that the compiler is expecting someone to enter in the password as blank).
    (2) A file was created from the above process, and one of the lines above does say the application was successfully packaged, so should I go ahead and try to run on the device?
    (3) What is error 256?
    (4) Can I get an extension on my Architect trial as I really need to verify I can download a sample app to the device before I purchase.

    Thanks in advance - Bob

    }

    OK - I tried what you suggested and got the same error. Can you point me to where I can download the Beta 2 version of tools, please.

    It's no longer on cachefly ....

    Also note that even though you get the warning you should still be able to use the beta2 functionality. I fear the issues will still be here.

    it could be it is packaged but no signed.

    also try using ./ as inputpath and running it from the local directory

    moving this to SDK Tools forum

    What would cause it not to sign? Here's my configuration.json file:

    {
    "applicationName": "GameTest",
    "applicationId": "com.wtb.GameTest",
    "bundleSeedId": "3FYNXD49MV",
    "versionString": "test_05_15_12",
    "iconName": "peter_griffin_football.png",
    "inputPath": "/Users/zachlowe/Sites/sencha_sdk/myprojects/sencha_deploy/GameTest",
    "outputPath": "/Users/zachlowe/Sites/sencha_sdk/myprojects/sencha_package/Gametest",
    "configuration": "Release",
    "platform": "iOS",
    "deviceType": "iPad",
    "certificatePath": "/Users/zachlowe/Sites/sencha_sdk/myprojects/sencha_package/P12Certificate.p12",
    "certificatePassword": "042362",
    "certificateAlias": "",
    "orientations": "landscapeRight",
    "sdkPath": "",
    "androidAPILevel": ""
    }

    I've been trying for two days to get a simple dev app installed on either an iPhone or iPad. I've read and followed every instruction found here on the forum that even remotely looks like something to do with provisioning and installation of .app files. My efforts have failed at every turn. This is the most poorly documented, poorly organized process I've ever been subjected to. I knocked up a quick application in Adobe Flash builder, set up the application description xml files, compiled it and it installed and ran on an actual device the first attempt. You call this a "replacement for Flex"? I don't think so. As far as I'm concerned, I've just wasted 48 hours of my life on a piece of software that's far from ready for prime time.
