store event "record not added"

when a user wants to save a record in a localstorage store i would like to tell users when a record has not been added to the store for instance because it was already in there. that should be no big deal to achieve I know, but i was just wondering whether there is a store event that is fired when a record has not been added? i could not find any of such event in the docs

Best way is to check if the record already exists before trying to add it. The store has a couple find methods for you to use.
