Sencha Touch 2 - setActiveItem animation not working

Sencha 2.0

In my controller, i have specified the following code snippet,

Ext.Viewport.animateActiveItem(1, {type:'flip', direction: 'left', duration:600} );

(or)

Ext.Viewport.setActiveItem(1, {type:'flip', direction: 'left', duration:600} );

Can anyone help how to get "flip" animation when switching from one view to another view?

Use the animation config in the layout:

Ext.application({
    name : 'Test',

    viewport : {
        layout : {
            type      : 'card',
            animation : 'flip'
        }
    },

    launch : function() {

        Ext.Viewport.add([
            {
                html : 'One'
            },
            {
                html : 'Two'
            }
        ]);
        
        setTimeout(function() {
            Ext.Viewport.setActiveItem(1);
        }, 2000);

    }
});
