Firefox 13 new default smooth scrolling leads to very slow grid scrolling
Firefox 13 new default smooth scrolling leads to very slow grid scrolling
- Ext 4.1
- Stateful Array Grid Example
- Windows 7 32bit
- Firefox 13 stable (just released automatically)
- Options > Advanced > Use Smooth Scrolling - was automatically checked true by the upgrade
I honestly can't say if this is a bug in Firefox 13 (it didn't happen in 12) or if it's related to ExtJS.-Michael B2B web application developer

Hmm, I cannot observe this on Lion@MacBook Pro FF13, probably it is Win specific. I can move this thread to bugs so that the developer can take a look and sort out if it is an Ext bug or a Firefox bug.

I can confirm this bug using 4.1 on Windows XP Pro.

I also confirm the same behavior using 4.1 and FF 13.0 on Linux.
Manually unchecking "smooth scrolling" fixed the issue.

I can confirm this too. It's not just the Grid scrolling, but all scroll bars in an ExtJS 4.1. application got much slower
.
Thanks in advance.

We have just observed this issue also in Firefox 13. Chrome and IE are happy but Firefox is very sluggish.

Yep, same here. The Infinite Scrolling grid panel demo shows the problem in FF13 for me on both Windows 7 and Ubuntu 10: http://dev.sencha.com/deploy/ext-4.1.0-gpl/examples/grid/infinite-scroll.html
Even after turning off 'smooth scrolling' in Firefox it's still very sluggish and jerky.

Success! Looks like we've fixed this one. According to our records the fix was applied for
EXTJSIV-6481
in
4.1.
