Complex Layout Example not working on IE 8

I have been having some problem with my panels. Basically I have a viewport layout in which I have east and west panel and the panels giving me js error when trying to collapse. I was getting

dom.style is null or not an object ext-all-debug.js line 6486

Then going through ext samples, I noticed the complex layout sample has the same error on IE 8. It works fine on safari and FF.

Anybody has any ideas or a workaround ?

Can you provide more info and a screen about the problem? I am able to run the example you mention with no errors.
