ComboBox dropdown shows up in upper left after tabbing out of cell

This issue can be reproduced on your explorer demo:

Go to a combo box (in my example, 3rd row, Light Column)
Select Cell and position cursor at the beginning of the cell.
Delete "Mostly " (7 deletes, not six as I stated) until drop-down appears.
Do not select drop-down, just tab out of cell.

Now, I cannot reproduce this all the time, but I can reproduce it.
