    Default Windows Mobile 6

    Windows Mobile 6

Is it possible to build an HTML 5 app for Windows Mobile 6 using Sencha? Probably not, but I just thought I'd ask anyway.

I have a client that uses a Trimble Rugged device

I'm asking Trimble if the OS can be upgraded. But, my guess is probably not without the purchase of a new handheld.

    Thanks,
    Don

Looks like there is at least one mobile browser that supports HTML5 on Mobile 6.
    http://www.zetakey.com/product.php

So, now I'm still wondering if I build the app with Sencha, will it work on an HTML5 Compatible Mobile 6 browser like this?

Some things may work but primarily it won't work. We also do not support it.

it would be deemed as 'unsupported', but you could always 'tweak' it to work.

Thank you. I do plan to test it soon when I get the special Handheld from my client. It is worth a shot since the app on the device is just used for a small database of water meters and a form to capture work order data.

If I get it to work, I'll update this thread.

Try to build Sencha HTML5 app into native package for Win Mobile with Phonegap.
