The Native API doco http://docs.sencha.com/touch/2-0/#!/guide/native_apis does not imply any access to the storage on the device (Phonegap does). Is there some way to store data on the device using Sencha Touch besides localStorage (with it's oppressive 5MB ceiling)?

The APIs you see in the documentation is what the native packager currently supports.
