Default Answered: Choosing config of base layout for application

Answered: Choosing config of base layout for application

    Greetings to all.
The application must contain top and bottom toolbar, the main part is tab panel and maybe i'll need collapsible left/right panel. I guess I need viewport with 3 items: noth, center and south region. But in some examples (BookReviews) viewport contains only 1 item with dockedItems, and in other (FeedViewer) - 2 or more.
    What is the best way?

  2. I tend to use the Viewport strictly for overall layout. I then use content panels with dockedItems for toolbars and such.

    You mean:
Viewport -> Panel (center region) -> dockitems (top + bottom)
    OR
Viewport -> Panel (center) + Panel (north) + Panel (south) -> dockitems
