    Default 2.1 and BlackBerry support

    2.1 and BlackBerry support


    I've just tried the demos coming with 2.1 rc2 on a PlayBook and on a BB10 device.

    PlayBook
    Most demos don't load (from a URL). They work fine when loaded on a Nexus 7.
    Is this just a problem with the demos or has support for RIM's tablet been dropped?

    BB10
    ST makes the browser crash (not your fault).
    After looking at the themes/css folders, I can't see the promised BB10 theme.
    Will it be released with 2.1 or has this been postponed?

    Well, Sencha publicly stated that the theme would be released by the end of October, so I was assuming it would be released along with 2.1, but there has been no news since.

    We were really hoping that there would be something to play with at the end of the month that would work on BB10 and PlayBook. Is there an ETA on the release of 2.1 GA?

    Hi Mukul,

    I assume you are using the Beta 3 build for the BlackBerry Dev Alpha device. The issue about the Sencha Touch 2.0 crashing the Dev Alpha browser is fixed now and you will be able to get the fix in the next public refresh of build, which is currently scheduled for mid November. The issue was tracked in the BlackBerry developer issue tracker, https://www.blackberry.com/jira/browse/BBTEN-300.

    Still crashes


    BB10 theme from Sencha released as beta in November has some errors looking for an image called tip2_left.png

    So it is 12/14/12 and trying to get ready for end of Jan Blackberry launch. Newest Alpha phone takes the bar packaged file - when you go to open the file on the phone it still crashes. Can not give any more info. If the Sencha developer for RIM is in the San Francisco office I can come over to the office and show exactly what is happening if this helps.
