Unanswered: How do you always show a panel while scrolling?

I currently have my application laid out like this:

I am using a border layout with the charts in the center and the filters in the east. There are many charts, and our desire is to always show the filters as you scroll down the page. I see there is support for floating a panel, but not exactly sure how this would work in our case. I am fine pulling the filters out of the border panel and placing it somewhere else, as long as the desired functionality is there....always showing the filters regardless of where you are scrolled to.

We have done something similar with JQuery, but am hoping to do this all within extjs.

    Thanks!
