Success! Looks like we've fixed this one. According to our records the fix was applied for EXTJSIV-7773 in 4.2.0 Sprint 2.

    ExtJS 4.1.2.1. HtmlEditor's toolbar is not removed


    REQUIRED INFORMATIONExt version tested:
    • Ext 4.1.2.1
    Browser versions tested against:
    • Chrome 23 (Windows)
    Description:
    • If you try to destroy HtmlEditor field, which is not being rendered, its toolbar is not destroyed.
    Operating System:
    • Win7
