Success! Looks like we've fixed this one. According to our records the fix was applied for EXTGWT-2603 in 3.0.3.

    SelectionMode.SIMPLE doesn;t deselect when clicked


    Hi,

    SelectionModes SINGLE and MULTI deselect when expected, but when you click an item in SIMPLE when it's selected, it does not deselect. Please advise.

    I will move this thread to the bugs forum and push it to the issue tracker for further investigation if this is the expected behaviour or if this needs to be corrected.
