Unanswered: how to move floating objects?

I'm trying to reverse engineer the drag and drop portal example:

    http://docs.sencha.com/ext-js/4-1/#!...al/portal.html

To use the bits in Architect... So far i've had partial success, the portlets can be dragged and dropped, and the other components clear a space as you move it, but they don't snap into place like they do in the example... i don't neccesarily have to do it the same way, but pretty much every method call i do to move the floating component does nothing. Can anyone suggest what i should be trying?

Are you extending the portlets and using the classes from the example?
