    Default Native android packaging

    Native android packaging

    Hi,

    I spent many hours trying to package my Sencha Touch 2 app to a native app, but with no success.

    Is there anyone who has some experience with packaging to android, and who wants to show my how I can do this?

    I followed this guide:
    http://docs.sencha.com/touch/2-0/#!/...native_android

    It would be nice if someone could show it to me using teamviewer or another screen-sharing program.

    This is my error:

    Code:
    C:\Program Files (x86)\sencha>sencha package build config.json
    [INFO] ""C:/Program Files (x86)/adt-bundle-windows/sdk//tools/android" create project --target android-7 --name WorklistApp --activity STActivity --path "D:/Data/Documents/Visual Studio 2012/Projects/Sap/Sap/build/" --package com.delawareconsulting/WorklistApp"
    Failed to copy packager library
    Failed to package application
    [ERROR] Error: Target id is not valid. Use 'android.bat list targets' to get the target ids.
    Copy operation failed src=C:/Windows/stbuild/st-res/android//nimblekit.jar dst=D:/Data/Documents/Visual Studio 2012/Projects/Sap/Sap/build//libs/nimbl
    ekit.jar
    This is my config file:
    Code:
    {

        "applicationName":"WorklistApp",

        "applicationId":"com.delawareconsulting/WorklistApp",

        "versionString":"1.0",

        "iconName":"icon.png",

        "inputPath":"D:/Data/Documents/Visual Studio 2012/Projects/Sap/Sap",

        "outputPath":"D:/Data/Documents/Visual Studio 2012/Projects/Sap/Sap/build",

        "configuration":"Debug",

        "platform":"Android",

        "deviceType":"Universal",

        "certificatePath":"C:/Program Files (x86)/sencha/athena.keystore",

        "sdkPath":"C:/Program Files (x86)/adt-bundle-windows/sdk/",

        "orientations": [
            "portrait",
            "landscapeLeft",
            "landscapeRight",
            "portraitUpsideDown"
        ]
    }
    Thanks,

    RW

    I think the error you're seeing means that you're trying to build for Android API level 7, but you don't have that installed. You can either change the target in the json file which contains your packaging information (change "androidAPILevel":"7" to an API level which you do have installed) or use the Android SDK Manager to download level 7. I spent what felt like an entire decade trying to get an Android build, so put the solutions to my problems here http://www.sencha.com/forum/showthread.php?257620 just in case they might help somebody. Incidentally, once it was built, I found, like so many others on this forum, that on an Android device it wouldn't progress beyond the loading screen. I found that that was solved by replacing in app.json the reference to "path": "touch/sencha-touch.js" with "path": "touch/sencha-touch-all.js". Not ideal, but it works (well, that's a liberal interpretation of "works" - it all goes horribly wrong after the loading screen, but at least I do now get into the app).
