Sprite MVC Event handler

For Ext.draw.Sprite objects how can we able to attach listeners using the MVC pattern.

Tried

this.control(
{
                'sprite':{
                    mouseout:this.pathSelection
                },'sprite':{
                    mouseover:this.pathSelection
                }
});

but the fuction was not called. is there any specific way as there is no xtype for sprite in the docs.

A sprite is not a component so therefore is not listenable via this.control. You will have to handle it in your view.
