Success! Looks like we've fixed this one. According to our records the fix was applied for EXTJSIV-8130 in 4.2.0.265.

    [ExtJs 4.2 Beta] itemclick event fires when clicking a group header of a grid view


    One of my application controllers has a method registering any itemclick event happening when clicking on an item in one of the grids controlled by the controller.

    When using the grouping feature the itemclick event fires not only when clicking on a real row of the grid but also when clicking on the grouping header of the grouping template.

    This happens only in ExtJs 4.2 beta not in ExtJs 4.1.x.
