download link for .epub files

Hi

In my app I gave download link to my .epub files. (ebooks) buy using hyperlink
But while testing in iphone and android.. the files are not opening.. instead only binary content of the file get displayed.
I have epub reader installed in my devices.
Let me know how to fix this issue.
Do I need to mention any content type .. if so how and where?
