Default Unanswered: Sencha Touch 2.0.1 in Android Webview

Unanswered: Sencha Touch 2.0.1 in Android Webview

    Hi all,

I have made an iOS and Andoid app with native and webview taps.

So i placed the sencha touch app on my server and load it inside webview.

In iOS it is very fast and works very well but, inside the Android app, the sencha touch app loads but the scrolling is slow and the navigation does just push the first view and then it does notwork any more.

    What do I wrong?

Thank you so much for helping.

What version of Android are you using? I'm guessing there's a good chance you're using Honeycomb/v3, in which case, give up! Because it has a horrible HTML5 implementation and it's really out of Sencha's hands to get Touch apps working in that environment.

    V4.+

No, I am using V4.0 an higher.

I have tested it with Samsung Galaxy 2 and the new Nexus 4 from google.
In both cases the same error, so there might be another reason for this error?

    Thanks for additional help.

I'll save you a lot of effort now and tell you that html5 performance on Android devices (all versions) is quite poor, so it will be extremely difficult to get Sencha running smoothly on it.

We had an app developed that performed so poorly on Android devices that we had to go back to the drawing boards and code it natively.

For your other problems, please post up some example code?

    Navigation View

Thank you matfin for your help.
Android had really bad performance with HTML5 in all cases.

The other problem is, that the naviagtion view does not work.
So I have a naviagtion View with the root view, a xlist, and now i tab an item and pushes a 2nd view on the navigation view.
After this action, all buttons and lists does not work any more.

This bug is as well as the performance problem just on android.

Thank you for you helpful answers.
