Lightbulb Unanswered: Can I bring a div to the front of a viewport?

Unanswered: Can I bring a div to the front of a viewport?

I have a viewport that has a header that is populated by an external source. I create an empty 'div' in the north region of my viewport. This all works fine.

The header includes a menu dropdown. This dropdown is hidden behind my viewport. Is there any way to bring this to the front?

The same external source uses JQuery to pop up any alerts and they DO appear over the viewport. That leads me to believe it's possible, but I don't know how to do it with ExtJS.

    Please help!
