I have tried following the Getting Started with Ext JS 4.0, I have the latest version of Google Chrome. I have no idea what I am doing when it comes to installing Apache HTTP Server for Windows. Which one of these would I download, if any? http://httpd.apache.org/download.cgi#apache20
When I click on the download link for Ext JS 4 SDK and unzip the file it only gives me a folder called 'ext-4.1.1a' with several folders inside of it, as well as JS Files.
The tutorial also says "Your web root directory may vary depending on your operating system, but if you are using Apache it is typically located at: "C:\Program Files\Apache Software Foundation\Apache2.2\htdocs"" but it says windows can't find that.
I've also tried downloading Sencha SDK Tools, the latest version of Java, XAMPP, Sencha Touch as well as trying to follow numerous tutorials but none of them seem relevant to Windows 8 and I seem to be no closer to getting ExtJS 4.x.
I'm not sure to what extent your planning on using ExtJS, but for a simple, development of front end, and some JSON files to simulate data from a server. I would suggest you try this light weight webserver Called Mongoose.
