Is it bad if I name my own events in my own app camelCase?
maxHeightChange is easier to read than maxheightchange, just a minor annoyance

no. it doesn't follow the current standard, but it's not bad.
Sometimes, i split xtypes by _'s. events, i typically use camel case.
