Answered: [FREQ] App package version update
What about the versioning of app built with ion?
Do we have to use external tools like InstallBuilder?
Can we expect you will give us some internal tool for this?
Thank you

In general, we encourage you to use your own installation wizard builders/tools. We use InstallBuilder here at Sencha, but we know that installation processes can be very complex and require intense customization...so our goal is to produce the necessary artifacts for you, and then you can take it from there.
Regarding updates, we plan to release a recommended approach to doing your own application updates over-the-air, complementing simply distributing new installers. We'll expose the appropriate API(s) to do so, along with a guide. This is not available now, but expect it with our next release at the latest. The update strategy will be very similar to how Sencha Architect and Sencha Animator do their updates, and it's quite simple and can be done 100% in JavaScript.
