Unanswered: Automatic updating applications
Unanswered: Automatic updating applications
Question regarding versions and handling automatic updates.
I already have a thread where I had a couple of requests ( http://www.sencha.com/forum/showthre...L-for-services )
This question is if you have thought of any option of handling automatic updates of the app. Since this is a packaged and build application, and the users sits with a exe/mac app file on their hdd which they execute. Would be really cool if there were any functionality to automatic see that the application has been updated in some kind of repository or something, and automatically get's downloaded, and showing a "what's new" page when opening the application.

Hi Frank,
Yes we do have plans for enabling over-the-air autoupdates through direction and API(s), as well as with further future plans around this common issue. I've outlined some details in a different thread that is related to this question: http://www.sencha.com/forum/showthre...version-update
Thanks!
