Default Trouble remove a component / edit component

Trouble remove a component / edit component

I added a component that has been giving me grief. That component has a small error in with a misplaced comma. When I remove the component with SA, it deletes overrides on other components. When I edit the component in the override directory, it keeps getting set back to have the error.

It's causing me hours of grief trying to revert my project to a working time then apply changes going forward.

    1) how can I cleanly remove a component that includes an override (it's not referenced any place). Should I wait until the next release?

    2) how can I edit the component to fix the comma.

Yikes let's get more info here. It sounds bugged.

Potential workaround for removal is remove override first the. Remove component...
