    Exclamation Unanswered: Browser error ?

    Unanswered: Browser error ?

    Hi, I'm facing a problem I don't understand. I installed Firefox and Chrome on my computer, to scompare results while developping.

    On Chrome, everything's working fine. I'm currently trying to download a pdf I create on server side, but I think it's not the matter here.

    But on IE and Firefox, I get several Ext.Error abour JSON being bad decoded. How would you explain it please ? I can't see why IE and Firefox retrieve errors while the same code under Chrome works fine and doesn't throw any error.

    It would help to get more info and some code .. I use this and it works fine:

    Code:
    Ext.Ajax.request({
        method  : 'POST',
        url     : 'index.php/crewboard_reports/print_report/',
        params  : {
            report_name   : 'qv_print_crewboard'
        },

        success : function (xhr) {
            window.open('pdf/qv_print_crewboard.pdf');
        }
    });
    Code:
    function print_report()
    {
        $field = $this->input->get_post('field', TRUE);

        $report_string = 'java -jar java/qv_print_crewboard.jar "days_on,id ASC"' .' "' . $field . '"';
        $result = shell_exec($report_string);

        if ($result) {
            echo "{success:true}";
        } else {
            echo "{success:false}";
        }
    }
