convert car listing example to tap detial

i have been trying to convert the car listing example to work with tabs. click on a car and in a second tab the detail shows up and in the third tab the graph shows up.

i have been trying to get the detail to show up on tab 2 and the graph on tab 3. I couldn't figure out how to so it. there are threads that talk about this but there is not a complete example of how to use tabs with data, at least from what i can see.

ps
this is not so much a question but to request for a example. I will eventually be using this with php, which i think i do understand. I am trying to replicate a flex project.
