Unanswered: What's the correct way to add a model with defined id into a store?

When I added a model which is created by the form value with a model , it's not dirty and the phantom value is false, so when I use sync it would not request the web service, so what's the correct way to do that? Should I use a setDirty() method to do it?

If you are syncing with a back end then you shouldn't specify an id in the client. The id should come from the server.
