    The config object meant that for Ext JS 4.x and ST 2.x there wasn't any unification. In the next major versions it is something that is important for us to have.

    Can't speak of official plans for it but it would be quite a rewrite of Ext JS 4 to support that config object which isn't really a good idea to change that much in a version.
