    Default Answered: Uncaught TypeError: object is not a function

    Answered: Uncaught TypeError: object is not a function

    i am getting this
    Uncaught TypeError: object is not a function
    while i was trying to run my application after i packaged it for desktop. Strange thing is that the same code is working fine for web version means without any kind of pakaging.
    But i need this to work in desktop application. Please help.

    the issue comes when i am using this :

    var view = Ext.widget('useredit');
    in my controller . here 'useredit' is my view and in this view initComponent is like this :

    this.items = [
    {
    xtype: 'form',
    items: [
    {
    xtype: 'textfield',
    name : 'name',
    fieldLabel: 'Name'
    },
    {
    xtype: 'textfield',
    name : 'email',
    fieldLabel: 'Email'
    }
    ]
    }
    ];

    this.buttons = [
    {
    text: 'Save',
    action: 'save'
    },
    {
    text: 'Cancel',
    scope: this,
    handler: this.close
    }
    ];

    this.callParent(arguments);
    }

  2. On what line is this error occurring? Which version of Ext JS are you running on? We recommend 4.2.

    when we invoke callparent method then this error pops up.
    I was using Ext JS 4.1.3 but the problem resolved with ExtJs 4.2.
    thanks for the help.
