Default Architect 2.2.1 Build: 951 - Not saving

    Architect 2.2.1 Build: 951 - Not saving

    Architect Build tested:
    • Build: 951

    Project Type:
    • Touch 2.x

    Description:
    • Architect 2.2.1 not saving my changes on functions

    Steps to reproduce the problem:
    • Create a function on a view
    • Write some code on this function

    The result that was expected:
    • Architect saves my changes

    The result that occurs instead:
    • Architect not saving my changes

    Operating System:
    • Linux Ubuntu 32-bit

When I make any change on one of my functions (for example, I have a basic function inside my view), the architect saves my code correctly on my JS file, but the metadata file continues with the same code (old code), then, if I close and reopen the architect, the code I see is the old one - I assume because the architect is relying on metadatas files..

    Hello,

After a preliminary test, I was unable to replicate the problem you're having. I did test with 64bit, however. I 'll get a 32bit machine going and try as well, just to be sure.

In the meantime, however - have you checked to ensure that perhaps your directory permissions didn't get changed somehow on accident, preventing metadata changes?

My steps for attempting to replicate, in case they differ from yours:

    1) create a new Sencha Touch 2.2 project

    2) drag a Panel on to the canvas

    3) in the config panel, find Functions and click the + to add a function

    4) name the function, and give it a parameter

    5) add a line of code

    6) save the project and close architect.

    7) open architect, edit the function (add a second line of code)

    8) close and reopen architect - view the function to check for changes.

In my case it's working, but just to be sure I will also try a 32bit instance.

Update: I've also tested in Ubuntu 32bit and cannot replicate the issue following the steps I outlined above.

I suspect that perhaps Architect is having issues writing to your filesystem in the metadata folder. Can you double check your permissions?

If permissions seem normal, can you try on a fresh project using the same steps I did and see if you have the same problem?

    Thanks,
    Steve

    1) Changed the permission to 777 for testing purposes - Still architect having issues writing to the metadata folder (not saving).

    2) Created a new project using the same steps you did - Still having the same problem.
The fisrt time (when I created the function) - it's works fine (saving)
When I close/reopen the architect - The fisrt time I make a change on the function, it saves, but if I make another change - it's starts not saving.
After this, tried several changes to the function and sometimes saves and sometimes not..

I'm sorry to hear you're still having difficulties. Can you let us know what file path you're saving your files to?
