Default Unanswered: panel.dd property set but where?

Unanswered: panel.dd property set but where?

I have a simple panel with the 'draggable' property set to true - if I console.log the panel in onready I can navigate to the 'dd' property but if I try and access the this.dd property inside listeners -> afterrender I get an 'undefined'.

I am struggling trying to figure out where and how to use DDProxy (or preferably a custom implementation).

What even in the panel would I capture to start investigating the existing 'dd' object? Why doesn't afterrender work?

Is this in order to manage the appearance of the ghost component shown during drag by default?
