    Default fields in a panel or fieldset with layout property set to 'hbox' or 'xbox' in sencha

    fields in a panel or fieldset with layout property set to 'hbox' or 'xbox' in sencha

    REQUIRED INFORMATION

    Ext version tested:
    • Sencha touch 2.2.0 gpl

    Browser versions tested against:
    • Safari 6.0.4
    • Chrome 27.0.1453.65 beta

    Description:
    • The problem arises when there are some fields (I had the problem with textfields or selectfields, i've not tested other types of fields) inside a fieldset (or a simple panel) with the layout property with value 'hbox' or 'vbox'. In this case the fields will break in 2 pieces: the label part and the real field part, and they'll be placed one above the other. I've attached a picture for more infos.

    Steps to reproduce the problem:
    • place a field inside a panel with the layout property equals to 'hbox' or 'vbox'.

    The result that was expected:
    • a normal visualization, with the label and field placed in the same row

    The result that occurs instead:
    • as displayed in the picture, the field and the label were placed on 2 different rows

    Test Case:

    Code:
    var form = Ext.create('Ext.form.Panel', {
        fullscreen: true,
        items: [
            {
                xtype: 'fieldset',
                title: 'Enter your name',
                layout: 'hbox',
                items: [
                    {
                        xtype: 'textfield',
                        label: 'First Name',
                        labelWidth: 150,
                        name: 'firstName'
                    },
                    {
                        xtype: 'textfield',
                        label: 'Last Name',
                        labelWidth: 150,
                        name: 'lastName'
                    }
                ]
            }
        ]
    });
    Ext.Viewport.add(form);

    This has already been fixed for the 2.2.1 release.

    Thanks Mitchell for your reply!!
    Is there any workaround, waiting for the 2.2.1 release? Or will this version be released soon?

    Thanks again!

    Yes, if there is a workaround, it would be seriously appreciated as I am going into beta testing in 3 days!!
