Answered: Experience with native packed apps

    Hi!

I played around with ST now for a few months. I'm using it together with Cordova (mainly on android).

When building native apps (regardless if I'm using the sencha packager or cordova), I experienced a recognizable difference regarding performance between packed apps (= running with webview on android) and browsers like chrome (on android).

I read a lot about that topic and as it seems there is not much one can do to fasten that up... the app appears a bit unresponsive if scrolling a lot.

How are your experiences with native ST apps? Do you have performance impacts as well? Are you ok with this drawback, what is the opinion of your customers / users (if any)? Or do you use ST mainly for mobile websites and not using it for apps at all?

By the way, I'm using ST 2.2 and Cordova 2.8.

    Regard, emste

  2. Apparently this performance penalty was connected to my update to ST 2.2.0.
Seems like version 2.2.1 fixed these issues again :-)
