    Default Split bar dragging across iframe issue

    Split bar dragging across iframe issue

    REQUIRED INFORMATION

    Ext version tested:
    • ExtJS 4.2.1
    Browser versions tested against:
    • FireFox
    • Chrome
    • IE10
    DOCTYPE tested against:
    • <!DOCTYPE html>
    Description:
    • I'm having an issue with split bar dragging across an iframe.

      I have a view port with 2 panels, left and right. The left panel has a split bar to allow resizing. The right panel contains an iframe. When I use Firefox and Chrome, I am not able to drag my split bar to the right to resize my left panel directly. I have to first drag it to the left then to the right. But split bar dragging across iframe works fine in IE.
    Steps to reproduce the problem:
    • Create a viewport containing 2 panels, left and right.
    • Set left panel region to be collapsible and with split bar.
    • Add iframe to the right panel.
    • On the page, using FireFox or Chrome, drag the split bar to the right.
    The result that was expected:
    • Split bar should be able to drag to the right to resize the left panel.
    The result that occurs instead:
    • Split bar doesn't get dragged to the right until you drag it to the left side first then to the right side
    Test Case:

    Code:
    <!DOCTYPE html>
    <html>
      <head>
      <link href="/resources/css/ext-all.css" media="screen" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" />
      <script type="text/javascript" src="/javascript/ext4/ext-all-debug.js"></script>
      <script type="text/javascript">
        Ext.onReady(function(){
          Ext.create("Ext.container.Viewport",
            {
              border: false,
              layout: "border",
              items: [
                {
                  region: "west",
                  ref: "west",
                  layout: "fit",
                  header: false,
                  collapsible: true,
                  split: true,
                  width: 300,
                  items:[
                    {
                      html: "Left Panel"
                    }]
                },
                {
                  region: "center",
                  ref: "center",
                  layout: "fit",
                  items:[
                    {
                      html: '<iframe id="iframe" style="border:none;width:100%;height:100%;" scrolling="auto" src="test2.html"></iframe>'
                    }]
                }]
            });
        });
      </script>
      </head>
      <body>
      </body>
    </html>

    Code in test2.html (iframe source):
    Code:
    <html>
      <body>
        Right Panel in iFrame
      </body>
    </html>

    Default Fixed?

    Fixed?

    I'm having the same exact problem in EXT JS 4.2.1. Has this been fixed in 4.2.2?

    Yes, also interested in a status update. I have a splitter between a sidebar and an openlayers map in the center area, and the splitter does not work when dragging to the right, but needs to be dragged to the left first.

    I am guessing it has to do with some kind of interference between drag-handlers? (the openlayers map also responds to dragging --it does not respond to the drag when I start dragging on the splitter, but I think it could be a possible explanation as to the cause of the error?). And as the OP says, it is with great pain in my heart that I have to admit that this _works_ on IE ???

    Anybody has an idea how to fix this or a workaround?

    I'm interested in it too.

    (By the way, it says it's a duplicate of a "bug EXTJSIV-10609", but I don't understand this reference. Does anyone know where is this original bug report?)
