    Ext version tested:
    • ExtJS 4.2.1
    Browser versions tested against:
    • FireFox
    • Chrome
    • IE10
    DOCTYPE tested against:
    • <!DOCTYPE html>
    Description:
    • I'm having an issue with split bar dragging across an iframe.


      I have a view port with 2 panels, left and right. The left panel has a split bar to allow resizing. The right panel contains an iframe. When I use Firefox and Chrome, I am not able to drag my split bar to the right to resize my left panel directly. I have to first drag it to the left then to the right. But split bar dragging across iframe works fine in IE.
    Steps to reproduce the problem:
    • Create a viewport containing 2 panels, left and right.
    • Set left panel region to be collapsible and with split bar.
    • Add iframe to the right panel.
    • On the page, using FireFox or Chrome, drag the split bar to the right.
    The result that was expected:
    • Split bar should be able to drag to the right to resize the left panel.
    The result that occurs instead:
    • Split bar doesn't get dragged to the right until you drag it to the left side first then to the right side

    Possible fix:
    • Cannot find workaround for this issue
    Additional CSS used:
    • only default ext-all.css
    Operating System:
    • Win 7

    Issue observed in 4.2.0 and 4.2.1. Tested OK in 4.1.3.

    Yes, also interested in a status update. I have a splitter between a sidebar and an openlayers map in the center area, and the splitter does not work when dragging to the right, but needs to be dragged to the left first.

    I am guessing it has to do with some kind of interference between drag-handlers? (the openlayers map also responds to dragging --it does not respond to the drag when I start dragging on the splitter, but I think it could be a possible explanation as to the cause of the error?). And as the OP says, it is with great pain in my heart that I have to admit that this _works_ on IE ???

    Anybody has an idea how to fix this or a workaround?

    (By the way, it says it's a duplicate of a "bug EXTJSIV-10609", but I don't understand this reference. Does anyone know where is this original bug report?)
