    Default How do I put views, stores, etc in sub-directories?

    How do I put views, stores, etc in sub-directories?

    Hi;

    We have about 68 windows in the app we're porting to the web. Needless to say, we don't want 68 .js files in the app/view folder.

    How do we tell Architect to put classes in a sub-directory?

    thanks - dave

    Users (including myself) have requested simple folder organization since the day architect was conceived. Short answer, you can't and for some reason, Sencha doesn't want to.

    The types of enterprise apps we build need organization and structure beyond simple controller/view/store/model. I have three projects and all three force you to scroll past dozens and dozens of views, components and sub components. Pretty bad usability issue.

    When naming your class just use a package name. For example lets say you have a UserGrid, UserForm and UserDetail class you could name these
    user.Grid
    user.Form
    user.Detail

    The classes would then be written into a folder called user and a class called Grid within your directory structure.

    We're aware of the need and it has nothing to do with not wanting to do it; it has to do with the fact that the feedback we've received as that there are more critical things to address prior to being able to view folders in the inspector.

    We hope to be able to get this in sooner rather than later for you guys.

    thank you - that's the critical part for us (reflecting it with a tree in the project inspector would be a nice plus, but we can live without that).
