                            "<option value='{[xindex]}'>eerste</option>",
                            "<option value='{[xindex]}'>{value}</option>",
                            "<option value='{[xindex]}' selected='selected'>selected value</option>",
                            "<option value='{[xindex]}'>laatste</option>",
                        "</select>"

Is there a workaround that can be applied to 2.2.1 in the interim?
