    Default Ext 4.2.1 Library usage

    Ext 4.2.1 Library usage

Can someone help me to use Ext 4.2.1 library? I was using Ext 3, Ext 4 for my previous application and web page development. I am using Ext 4.2.1 library in Sencha architect for my new developments and if i use just the url to point the libraries i can render the page in screen.

But if i use the downloaded library available in my local i am getting Ext not defined error.

I am using the library as below.

    <script type="text/javascript" language="javascript" src="/ext-4.2.1/extjs-build/ext-all.js"></script>

If you're using the default directory structure, you're not pointing to the correct location.

    Code:
    <script src="/ext-4.2.1/ext-all.js"></script>

Is the downloaded library placed inside of the web root directory for your web server?

Yes its available in the development code webroot directory.

I am using the other libraries Ext3,4 for different applications, pages but 4.2.1 is only giving error.
I tried different combinations of defining it but no luck yet.

Strange. Can you please provide the full path to the webroot, and the full path to the ExtJS libraries?

So the file C:\inetpub\wwwroot\ext-4.2.1\ext-all.js is there and has the right file ownership and permissions? Sorry to ask these questions -- just trying to eliminate things. Can we see the file/app which you are using to test the new library?

In the downloaded ext 4.2 library , i dont see ext-all.js not available readily.

Its inside this folder and path below.

    C:\inetpub\wwwroot\ext-4.2.1\extjs-build\ext-all.js

File content below where i am trying to use the ext library. Both options given below not worked fine.

    <script type="text/javascript" language="javascript" src="/ext-4.2.1/extjs-build/ext-all.js"></script>

    <script type="text/javascript" language="javascript" src="/ext-4.2.1/ext-all.js"></script>
