Need clarification on Version GXT2.3.0 Vs GXT 3.0

Hi, We're using GXT 2.0 and GWT 2.0 in our application. Now, we are in the process of upgrading GWT2.0 to GWT 2.4 and GXT to latest version. I am bit confused with 2 different GXT versions - GXT 3.0 and GXT 2.3.0. Which one should I pick up and that is compatible with GWT 2.4? Do both have same feature set?

GXT 3 is the current version of the library - we are continuing to maintain GXT 2 until GXT 4 is released next summer (see http://www.sencha.com/blog/gxt-roadmap-update/ for more details). The work being done in GXT 2.3 (and the soon to be released 2.3.1) is only to help maintain existing features for users who are unable to migrate to GXT 3 just yet, or are still in that migration process and continue to need bug fixes to be made.

Given the choice you should being the move to GXT 3 - while this is not a simple move to make, it is one that will result in a faster application, and one which will continue to see new features added to it going forward.

The jump between GXT 2 and 3 is much wider than what we are expecting to see between 3 and 4, since 3 is already up to date with current GWT best practices and classes.
