    Default Sencha touch 2.3 themes are not installed by default

    Sencha touch 2.3 themes are not installed by default

    I just upgraded the SDK to 2.3, generated new app and tested it on iPhone5 with iOS7. I was waiting to see the new cupertino theme, but the blue classic theme is still working instead, so I checked the resources/css folder and there wasn't any css file for any theme (except the app.css).

    So my question is, how to install the new iOS7 themes? is there any further step that I should do in order to get them? because in the introduction video, the themes files were under resources/css.

    Thanx in advance.

    You have to manually copy the css theme files you want to use from YourSDK/resources/css to YourApp/resources/css.

    I stand corrected here is a video showing how to properly add theme to your application using sass.

    Hi, I tried exactly the same way suggested in the video, creating new scss files for cupertino, and generating the css with the compass command, but when trying the app on iOS7 device, the default blue theme is always shown. So something is still getting wrong.

    Here is the project files:

    Hi, I changed the css part to load explicitly the cupertino theme, so here is it:
    Code:
        "css": [
            {
                "path": "resources/css/app.css",
    			"platform" : ["chrome","ios"],
    			"theme" : "cupertino",
                "update": "delta"
            }
        ],

    What does your app.scss look like? Did you run compass compile or sencha app build after changing your app.scss?

    Hi, here is my app.scss content:
    Code:
    // The following two lines import the default Sencha Touch theme. If you are building
    // a new theme, remove them and the add your own CSS on top of the base CSS (which
    // is already included in your app.json file).
    @import 'sencha-touch/default';
    @import 'sencha-touch/default/all';

    // Custom code goes here..

    // Examples of using the icon mixin:
    // @include icon('user');
    also, I run the compass command as shown in the video you posted on your earlier reply:

    Code:
    cd resources/sass
    compass watch
    Am i missing something? Thanx.

    Yes to use the cupertino theme your app.scss should be
    Code:
    @import 'sencha-touch/cupertino';
    @import 'sencha-touch/cupertino/all';
