    Default Issues in implementing Live Grid

    Issues in implementing Live Grid

    Hello,

    When I am trying to implement Live Grid functionality in my application I have encountered the following issues :
    1) The vertical scroll bar which gets attached to the grid after setting the live grid view seems to be hidden after data is being loaded.If any of the column widths is altered then only the scroll bar shows up.
    I am using a vertical layout container consisting of the grid and toolbar.
    2) The scroll bar which appears after any column width alteration is of the size of the grid's height as set by the outer most widget layer which is the framed panel (i.e framedPanel.setPixelSize(800,390)). Thus on scroll down the grid shows no data even though the LiveGridView.cacheStore has the required data in it.

    Currently the cache size is 180 followed by the default prefetch factor.
    Also the layout parameters for the grid and the view are as follows :

    final LiveGridView<ReportObject> liveGridView = new LiveGridView<ReportObject>();
    liveGridView.setCacheSize(180);
    liveGridView.setEmptyText("No rows available on the server.");
    liveGridView.setForceFit(true);
    liveGridView.setAutoFill(true);
    liveGridView.setStripeRows(true);
    liveGridView.setColumnLines(true);

    gridWithData = new Grid<ReportObject>(store, columnModel){
    @Override
    protected void onAfterFirstAttach(){
    super.onAfterFirstAttach();
    Scheduler.get().scheduleDeferred(new ScheduledCommand() {
    @Override
    public void execute() {
    loader.load(0, liveGridView.getCacheSize());
    }
    });
    }
    };

    gridWithData.setBorders(false);
    gridWithData.setColumnReordering(false);
    gridWithData.setStateful(true);
    gridWithData.setStateId("Live Grid");

    gridWithData.setLoader(loader);
    gridWithData.setLoadMask(true);

    gridWithData.setView(liveGridView);

    Could any one please suggest on this ?

    Moved to Discussion, at least until there is a bug report in here. Can you share the loader setup, as well as the layout configuration - which container the grid is added to, how that container is sized, etc? It sounds as though you have a layout misconfiguration, but without seeing the whole layout structure, it is hard to tell.
