Unanswered: Fully Editable Grid At Once, Has Anyone Ported or Developed?

    Hey Sencha,

Was wondering if anyone had ported or developed a new version of a Fully Editable Grid with all fields showing an editor,

    much like:

    but for 4.2.x

    Thanks, Jacob

I'm confused. With 1 click to edit a cell & amazing keyboard mapping by default, why would you need this?

Haha its what a client wants, right now I am doing:

Row Editor, No Buttons (hidden), 1 Click Edit, changed move to just send the complete when the editor is moved, and on a Ext.getBody() click it sends completeEdit to the grid.
(if anyone wants the code to this, send me a msg)

kinda works for now, but in the future I want to have every cell in the grid to have the editor displayed.

2 Requirements are not having to click to enable editing or click to save (causes extra clicks), and the second is the user should be able to see right away which cells are editable and which are not.both are solved if all editors are made visible. There are not going to be over 20 rows in the grid ever and 4 columns so the data isn't very big.

Understood. Simple text editors or things like drop downs too?

It has combo boxes, text editors, and date fields.

I see. Does the data drive the editor type?

I provide editor's for every editable field. I have a custom built combobox that has its own trigger function that launches a seperate search window. So I'd need them to honor the editors provided to the column.
