Looks like we can't reproduce the issue or there's a problem in the test case provided.

    Ext version tested:
    • Ext 5.0.1.1255 with classic theme
    Browser versions tested against:
    • Chrome 36 (latest) Mac
    • Safari Latest Mac
    DOCTYPE tested against:
    • STRICT
    Description:The focus rectangle on trees, tab panels, buttons, etc, is very undesirable.     Hi,

    The styling you're seeing is the result of a longstanding Ext4 bug where the focused button used the styling used for buttons when hovered. All themes now have focus styling which you can override either by CSS if you're not working with a Cmd generated / built app or via a a custom theme extending the framework theme.
