I found some issues, don't know yet if it's because of my misconfiguration or bugs:
BrowseButton doesn't open file dialog in Opera neither Winblow$ nor Linux version
When it is in bbar (menu button at the top-left corner) it doesn't seem to work reliably in IE7 after adding several files - even after I've removed doctype
Works perfect in Firefox
Issues 1 and 2 are of no importance for me as I force my users to use Firefox but they can matter for others.
Concerning licensing, I talked with MaximGB, and we agree on wanting people to use extensions like BrowseButton without any restrictions. Do you foresee any issues with just saying it's part of the public domain, or at the maximum giving it a BSD style license?
Concerning the issues you discovered, thanks for letting me know. Specifically:
I could get Opera to work with BrowseButton if the button was explicitly created and added to the Panel's button bar through "button" config. I have updated the browser compatibility in the post to report this.
I tried to verify the IE7 issue. I added 20 files with no problem. How many files were you adding when it started to break for you?
Yay for Firefox!
Your FileField/Filetree is looking awesome. Nice work. I'm digging it.
No I see no problem if you license it as public domain if it's fine with you.
Re issues: Ok, I'll let 'em be for now I just want to make sure that if I release FileTree I can address you for support on anything users will find on BrowseButton, agree?
Thanks for your interest, stay tuned (btw, look at it now...).
I just took a look at the demo and it is excellent!
Thank you for your hard work
When I right-click an element in your FileTreePanel it shows a context menu, but also shows the Firefox right-click menu. I don't know how easy or if is it even advisable to supress the Firefox right-click menu, what do you think?
