This is considered thread hijacking. Post in your own thread with an appropriate title. If anything, post a link to your thread asking for help in this thread. It's frowned upon to hijack in general, but it behooves you to do this anyway as more people will see your question that way.

This is great... is there a way to convert the tutorial to PDF ? Thanks for any consideration.

Stripeman, I took the liberty to create a PDF out of the Tutorial from Mr. Nicolas Bize (using the great Mac tool Web Snapper) and upload it to rapidshare:

    http://rapidshare.com/files/10749883..._1-12.pdf.html

If Mr. Bize (by the way let me thank you from the bottom of my soul!! for this absolutely amazing Tutorial!) would not agree with sharing his tutorial this way, I will delete the upload right away! Cheers

    THANK YOU for this tutorial!
    It helps me a lot!

But... unfortunately I have the same problems as hoflandr and rjanssen: works perfect in FF but not in IE. I use IE6 (IE tab in FF) and IE7.
On page load i have the following error:

Update function doesn't work, neither Add a President (Add window is not displayed). And also the when moving the window, the window becomes blue and the grid disappears.
Update and Add funtion work fine in FF

    Thumbs up [fixed] IE issues

    [fixed] IE issues

Allright, it's been about two weeks since the tutorial is up and I never had the time to look back at those IE issues. Sorry about that!

It seems like the render command created some issues in some versions of IE. I fixed up the tutorial and the code and decided to only use SimpleStores. Letting Ext generate the data is usually always a better solution anyways. Tell me if you're still running into some problems.

I've also taken the time to add a couple of new comments to clarify certain small points (thanks to MJLecomte)

Thanks for all of your positive feedback. I'll be sure to write some more concerning another subject as soon as I find some free time.

    Cheers
    Nicolas.

Default about the Quick SearchField (Part 10)

about the Quick SearchField (Part 10)

The limit param are not sent. This is a POST FROM FireBug:
    Code:
    query	a
    start	0
    task	LISTING
AS you can see, it only sends the start, but not the limit.

    I'm talking about this:
    Code:
    	new Ext.app.SearchField({
    	  store: PresidentsDataStore,
    	  params: {start: 0, limit: 15},
    	  width: 120)
    Any Idea ?
