    Question Ext.ux.ColorPicker ... is not a constructor

    Ext.ux.ColorPicker ... is not a constructor

    Greetings all. I am trying to implement a bit of code using the ColorPicker extension published by Amon. A) I can't get the included example code to run right when embedded within my examples tree. When I try to implement a solution I get the message "ColorPicker is not a constructor." Firefox says the the code and css files are loaded so doesn't seem to be a path issue. Anybody else seen this behavior? Couldn't find any references in the forums. Anybody got any ideas?

    I thank you in advance,
    Dan

    it could be an issue of timing. is your stuff run via ext.onReady()?

    Default yes, inside Ext.onReady block

    yes, inside Ext.onReady block

    Hi J. Thanks for responding and your thoughts. I unpacked the colorpicker zip file into my working extjs base directory so that the "examples" fall ino the examples directory, css falls into resources/css , the ux direcxtory is created and contains color-picker subdirectory that contains the actial .js files. I have "link/script"ed both the css and js files in my main document as well....

    And, yes, the code is contained within an Ext.onReady block as follows:

    Code:
    <script type="text/javascript">

    function testPickColor(p, hexa) {
        Ext.get( 'result' ).update(' &nbsp;'+hexa+'&nbsp;' );
        Ext.get( 'result' ).setStyle({backgroundColor: '#'+hexa });
    }

    Ext.onReady( function(){
        var picker = new Ext.ux.ColorPicker( 'colorPicker', {
                hidePanel: false,
                captions: {
                    red: 'red',
                    green: 'grn',
                    blue: 'blue',
                    hue: 'hue',
                    saturation: 'sat',
                    brightness: 'val',
                    hexa: 'col.',
                    websafe: 'Safe'
                },
                animate: true
            });

            var pickerDialog = new Ext.ux.ColorDialog( 'colorDialog', {
                title: 'Pick a Color!',
                resizable: false,
                hidepanel: false,
                hsv: {h:120, s:20, v:50},
                shadow: true
            });
            pickerDialog.addButton( 'Ok' );
            pickerDialog.addButton( 'Cancel' );
        });
    </script>
    HTML Code:
    <div id="colorPicker"></div>
    <div id="colorDialog"></div>
