Default [FIXED] Why Ext Gwt 1.0 beta was compiled with JDK6?

[FIXED] Why Ext Gwt 1.0 beta was compiled with JDK6?

    Hi!

Does it make sense to use JDK6?
Getting this from the JDK 1.5 compiler:

    cannot access com.extjs.gxt.ui.client.Registry
    [javac] bad class file: C:\Users\Developer\Projects\...gxt.jar(com/extjs/gxt/ui/client/Registry.class)
[javac] class file has wrong version 50.0, should be 49.0
[javac] Please remove or make sure it appears in the correct subdirectory of
    the classpath.
    [javac] import com.extjs.gxt.ui.client.Registry;
    [javac] ^
    [javac] 1 error

EXT-GWT uses version 1.5m1 (or may be m2, not sure) of GWT.

There is no official JDK6 release for MacOSX.
So, I can not use Ext-GWT. It's very very sad!

Why Ext Gwt 1.0 beta was compiled with JDK6?

    Hi!

Maybe my post was a bit confusing so trying to clarify...

I understand that GXT 1.0 beta built on GWT 1.5m2 and consequently JDK5.

The point is that the current release of GXT (see gxt.jar) itself was compiled with JDK6 which causes problem for JDK5 compiler because of incompatible class versions.

Hope my point is clear now.
    Rgds.

This problem has already been reported and corrected, but you'll have to have commercial support (to get the svn) or wait until the next release. You can see Darrell's response here.

    This is fixed in beta2.
