JS weight for web use???

I all! great look on all the Ext JS applications!

What i am wondering is it possible to use parts of the ext-all.js (511kb) is huge

i would like to use the advance tabs but 36000 lines of codes seems a lot just for tabs

Is there a way to get ext-all.js broken down for a couple of applications

ex: Advance tabs

Any idea how to acheive that

You can use the individual components from the build folder of extJS distribution.

Check you Build Your Own feature on the site to wrap only the components you need.

Hi guys thanks for you quick response i am already aware of the build it in the download area

for advanced tabs the JS is 156kb better than 511kb but still ...

is there a list of the functions used by every applications. to be able to remove functions not used for advanced tabs.

or the built it is as good a it gets? seems really heavy for tabs.

I would suggest you do a little searching here in the forums (use the google search in my sig) for things like gzip and performance. There are a number of threads that discuss these concepts.
